27 July 2009 The final trial for the 2009 Scotland U21 Shinty / Hurling international squad takes place at Dalmally on This follows the Skye & Wester Ross / Inverness-shire and Badenoch / Lochaber trials which have already taken place. The trail is mainly for South players although any North players who have missed the two North sessions are welcome to take part. It starts at The trials will give Scotland U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin and his assistants David Stafford and Ted MacDonald the chance to see the eligible players in action although players have been watched in club matches already this season. The next stage will be to for the management team to select a squad of 35-40 players to take part in 2 final training sessions. All players who have taken part in the original 3 trials will receive a letter informing them whether they have been selected. The squad will then be reduced to a final pool of 18 with 2 reserves for the international. The |
