On the day both won their games against Kinlochleven, Portree and Dingwall – and with the crucial fixture between Kingussie and Lochaber finishing goal-less, the host team retained their slender advantage to clinch top spot. There has been a tremendous improvement in the level of skill shown by players over the course of the year. This can only bode well for the future of women’s shinty in the north. Huge thanks go to all those who have hosted tournaments and helped to coach and transport teams, without which the league would not have been possible.” |
