01 July 2009 Will Cowie has had a terrific season and captained the side to the MacKay Cup – the third time he has won this competition - as well as being a major contributor to the School winning the Tulloch National League for the very first time. The team also won local competitions The Talisker League, the Bank of Scotland Cup and the Isle of Skye Round Tables Sixes. Portree Primary School has been unbeaten for 2 years in 12 a side competition games and the current side still has several competitions to look forward to including the Shinty World Cup Final, the North of Scotland 6s and the National 6s as well as the Milngavie & Bearsden tournament.
