The Highland Office Equipment MacTavish Cup Final Preview. | |
11 June 2009 The Highland Office Equipment MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final preludes the main even and in a repeat of the recent U17 WJ Cameron Final, Lochaber U17 play Fort William U17. Lochaber U17, coached by Lochaber first team manager and former Scotland Head Coach Ally Ferguson, knocked Skye Camanachd U17 out of the MacTavish Juvenile Cup in the first round winning 3-2 in a close match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree. Lochaber have an excellent keeper in Cammy Kennedy and they are strong down the middle of the park where the Delaney brothers - Ben and Danny – already have first team experience and Brenan MacDonald is a solid performer. Patrick Toal, Stewart Callison and Connor Sweeney provide a real goal threat up front. Fort William are as ever under the watchful eye of long serving youth coach Jock Sneddon and they have a fine side too as their U14 side which swept the boards in 2007 has now evolved into their U17 side. Defender Mark Grant is available again following suspension and Peter Wood will be an influential player and is another who already first team experience. Their goal threat will come from Ryan and Ewan Campbell and Josh McGhee This match throws up at 1.30pm and will be refereed by Jock Matheson. |
