Willie Cowie has been named the Skye Camanachd U14 A Team Most Improved Player of the Year.
Cowie, from Portree, has established himself as regular in the U14 team forward line this season despite being only 11 years old.
He has scored 5 times for the U14 A team and put in some match winning performances.
He still plays for Portree Primary School and is the only Skye player to have won the MacKay Cup on two occasions – in 2005 and 2008 when he was man of the match. Indeed he has the opportunity to make it a hat-trick of successes in 2009.
If he keeps showing the same dedication, he can be a star of the future.
