19 December 2008 Balliemore Cup The draw for the 2009 Balliemore Cup has not been too kind to reigning champions Skye Camanachd. The holders face a trip to Battery Park for a local derby against Lochcarron and the winners are off to Balgate to face Lovat. Ballachullish host Kilmory in an all South first round tie which is a reversal of their clash in the 2008 competition. Kilmory ran out 3-0 winners that day and will be looking to complete the double. The winners will travel to face either Caberfeidh or Oban Celtic in the second round. Cabers will fancy their chances of progressing from that grouping. Kinlochshiel should be too strong for Tayforth at Kirkton but will find a home match against Kilmallie or Beauly a much tougher prospect in the second round. Glasgow Mid Argyll received a first round bye and await a home match against the winners of the Inverness/Strathglass tie. Strathglass should progress here.
