Newtonmore Camanachd has received a 12 month suspended sentence for their part in the MacAulay Cup semi final against Fort William which resulted in referee Calum Duff's decision to quit the game, according to the Inverness Courrier.
The decision came following a meeting of the Camanachd Association's Behaviour in Sport Committee on 9 December 2008.
Former referee Duff has hit out at the decision, calling it a whitewash.
