U14 North Division 1 Will Not Be Decided By Goal Difference. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
03 December 2008 Camanachd Association Shinty Youth Development Manager Garry Reid has confirmed that should teams finish level on points at the top of the U14 North Division 1, the title will not be decided on goal difference. Instead, should teams be level on points at the top of the League, there will be a play-off between the sides concerned to decide the winners. This is because the Camanachd Association prefer to promote skills development at youth level rather than encouraging sides to rack up high scores against each other. The 2008 U14 North Division 1 is the closest title race ever with all 5 sides still in contention for the eventual top spot. The current League table is as follows;
Skye Camanachd's remaining game is away to Lochaber Glenurquhart have still to face Fort William away and they have a home match with Beauly. Beauly have still to face trips to Fort William, Glenurquhart and Lochaber. Lochaber have still to face Skye, Beauly and Fort William, all at home. Fort William have to play Glenurquhart and Beauly at home and Lochaber away. |
