Skye Camanachd U14s ran out convincing 8-0 winners in the North semi final of the MacMaster Cup against Kingusie at Pairc nan Laoch.
Skye, who beat Lovat 11-0 in the last round, made a great start to the game when a Jordan Murchison shot crossed the line though John Gillies followed in to be sure. Calum Gibb got the final touch in a goal mouth scramble to give Skye a two goal half time lead.
Skye continued to pressure Kingussie in the second half and Chris MacLennan sent a rocket shot from the right, across keeper Chris Holysong, into the roof of the net. Skye introduced substitute Scott MacDonald and within minutes he made the score 4-0 direct from a corner.
When Kingussie did get forward, the found Ally MacLeod in great form in the Skye goal and he had a super save just under the bar from Owen Reid.
There were some great tussles all over the field especially between Scott MacLeod and Ryan MacWilliam and between Martin Bruce and Thomas Borthwick with the Skye boys coming out on top in both battles.
Willie Cowie scored his first goal for the under 14 A team when he blasted a great shot into the roof of the net after being set up by Chris MacLennan. Minutes later MacLennan again set up Cowie for his second and Skye's sixth goal.
John Gillies deservedly got his name on the score sheet to make it seven and Chris MacLennan scored his second goal - the third game in a row that he has netted a double - to conclude a resounding 8-0 win.
Skye will face Fort William in the North Final as the Lochaber side beat Beauly 3-1 in the other North semi final.
