07 July 2008 Five Skye Camanachd players featured in Scotland A U17 and Scotland B U17 shinty / hurling wins against the Irish. The Scotland B U17 team beat Parnell from Dublin by 9 goals and 3 points to no goals and 2 points. Skye's 16 year old Danny Morison played a starring role scoring 5 of the Scottish goals. Neil John Campbell also played in defence. The Scotland A U17 team also had a big win against Whitehall with Ryan Borthwick and Matt Rippon getting amongst the goals. Skye's Shockie MacLennan injured a hamstring in the opening minutes of the game and had to be substituted. Jamie MacDonald and Andrew Banks played the full match and Danny Morrison was rewarded for his goal scoring exploits for the B team when he was introduced as a second half A team substitute. Both teams play tonight - Monday 7 July 2008 - in Laois. |
