The Skye Camanachd second team will cross the Minch on Saturday 28 January 2012 to play Lewis Camanachd.

This will be the first match in charge of the Skye reserves for boss Murdo Morrison and his assistants John MacLeod and David Grant.

Skye have played in Lewis before when they won the Craig Morrison Memorial Sixes in July 2010. They also played there some years ago when they met Beauly in the Mod Cup. However this will be the first time they have faced Lewis Camanachd on their own turf.

Lewis Camanachd have had a successful 2011 season and they have recently won permanent memberships to the Camanachd Association senior league structure.

A large crowd is anticipated for this historic meeting.
