The Camanachd Association has, as expected, confirmed the appointment of Ronald Ross as Scotland U21 Head Coach for the next two years.
Ronald Ross will be assisted by Jason Latto and James Perlich whilst Jemma Docker continues as Fitness Coach.
Ronald Ross is the Camanachd Association's National Development Officer and he coaches the U17 Scotland Squad on their annual trip to Dublin. He captained Kingussie last season when they won the Co-operative MacTavish Cup and he has scored over 1,000 goals in around 20 years at the club. He has also previously captained the Scotland U21 and Senior Squads on more than one occasion and was awarded an MBE in the 2011 New Year Honours List.
Jason Latto has coached shinty at Lochaber at youth level and he was part of Ally Ferguson's management team when the former Scotland boss was in charge at Lochaber. He has also been involved with the Senior and Under 21 Squad since 2009 in a part-time, voluntary capacity.
James Perlich has previously worked as a Camanachd Association Shinty Development Officer. He is the current Kyles Athletic Coach and has played a key role in their recent success. He has also previously coached the National Women’s Squad.
Jemma Docker continues as Fitness Coach having worked with the previous management team of Head Coach Donnie Martin and his assistants Dave Stafford and Ted MacDonald.
