Kilmallie & Ballachulish To Replay Sutherland Cup Tie | |
20 May 2012 Kilmallie and Ballachulish have been ordered to replay their Sutherland Cup tie following a meeting of the Camanachd Association’s Behaviour In Sport Committee on Thursday 17 May 2012. The Sutherland Cup second round tie between the sides at the Canal Parks on Saturday 28 April 2012 was abandoned by referee Neil Ferguson during the extra-time period with the sides’ level at 4-4. It had been reported that the referee called proceedings to a premature halt when supporters entered the field of play following an incident on the pitch. The Committee considered submissions from both clubs as well as reports from referee Neil Ferguson and match assessor Willie MacDonald. Both sides have been told that they must replay the tie at a venue to be decided by the Camanachd Association. It is also believed that both clubs have been fined and warned about their future conduct. The Camanachd Association said after the meeting that they would confirm the committee’s decision once both clubs had been informed. |
