Skye Camanachd Ladies Head Coach Sarah Corrigall recognises what a difficult task her team faces in the Valerie Fraser Cup Final against Glasgow Mid Argyll Ladies at Strachurmore on Saturday 6 September 2014.
When asked to compare this weekend’s opponents to the other ladies teams since the WCA league structure began, Corrigall said, “Glasgow Mid Argyll are a very good side. They are one of the best teams in a long time without a doubt. I would obviously say that the Glengarry team that I played in was the best ladies team ever,” she laughed. “But if GMA lift the Valerie Fraser Cup this year, I think that would put them right up there. Many people expected GMA to win last year’s Valerie Fraser but they lost out to Badenoch & Strathspey and they won’t want to make that mistake again. But it just shows you that you can never be sure who is going to win these games.”
