The all-important team news is emerging ahead of the Valerie Fraser Cup Final between Skye Camanachd Ladies and Glasgow Mid Argyll Ladies at Strachurmore on Saturday 6 September 2014.
Both sides are expected to be along usual lines.
The Glasgow Mid Argyll side will be packed with well-known names from the Ladies game. They include Joan Nicolson, who is originally from Uig on Skye, and she will provide a real threat in attack. KT Drain and the McCafferty sisters – Laura and Rachel – will play and they will be captained by Alana McGarrie.
Skye have been boosted by Catriona Gibb’s return to the side whilst the international quartet of Sarah Corrigall, Lorna MacRae, Jenna Beaton and Caitlin MacLean will be important players for the Islanders.
WCA Women’s Cup Final Day - Event Details
There will be two finals with Lovat Ladies and Strathglass Ladies both making the long journey South to take part in the Marine Harvest Challenge Cup Final which throws up at 1pm. Alan Harrison is the match referee.
Next up is the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup Final, Ladies shinty premier event, between Skye Camanachd Ladies and Glasgow Mid Argyll Ladies. Throw up is at 3pm and Lachie Wood is the match referee.
Admission is £5 for adults and £3 concessions with U12s accompanied by a paying adult gaining free entry. There are discounts available for Camanachd Association members.
