Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup – Quarter Finals Saturday 25 May 2013 Lochcarron 8 Glengarry 1 Marine Harvest North Division 3 league leaders Lochcarron powered past Glengarry, who are in the league above, 8-1 at Battery Park. Glengarry were without the influential Daniel MacLennan who served a one match ban for a points accumulation. Michael Brady was also missing as he served the second game of a two match ban for a points accumulation. Ross Brown continued his scoring streak with four goals whilst Robin Smith, Kenny Cushnie, Gregor Cushnie and Douglas MacKenzie got the others. Steven Simpson got a consolation strike for Glengarry.
Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup – Semi Finals Saturday 22 June 2013 Lochcarron 4 Fort William 2 Lochcarron are through to their first Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Final since 1971 after they beat Fort William 4-2 in the heavy rain at the Bught Park, Inverness. Fort William enjoyed the early pressure and only good goalkeeping from Lochcarron’s Peter MacKenzie prevented them from taking the lead. However the Fort did go in front on 26 minutes when Davie Duncan capitalised on a defensive error to put his side ahead. Lochcarron came back into the game and Gregor Cushnie finished off a sweeping move to level just before the interval. Fort’s U17 striker Alexander MacMillan put his side back in front with a fine solo goal just before the hour Lochcarron levelled for the second time when Sean MacCuish collected a Ross Brown pass and fired a great 20 yard shot past Fort keeper Garry MacKay into the back of the net to make it 2-2. With 15 minutes remaining, Gregor Cushnie latched onto a rebound after Garry MacKay had saved from Ross Brown and he scored to put Lochcarron ahead for the first time in the tie. Fort William pressed hard to take the tie into extra-time but they were undone when a breakaway move from Lochcarron saw Davis Bauermeister and Ross Brown combined to set up Gregor Cushnie who shot home to complete his hat-trick and seal a 4-2 win. Neil Ferguson was the match referee.
