Strathdearn Cup – Second Round
Newtonmore 2 Glenurquhart 1
The Newtonmore second team overcame the Glenurquhart second team 2-1 at the Eilan. After a goalless first half, Calum Stewart gave Newtonmore the lead on 66 minutes. Raymond Robertson levelled on 76 minutes but Kenny Ross scored what proved to be the winner just 3 minutes later to put the holders through to the quarter-finals.

Strathdearn Cup – Quarter Finals
Beauly 1 Newtonmore 6 (after extra time)
It took extra-time to separate the Newtonmore reserves beat their Beauly counter-parts at Braeview Park. Beauly had David Neilson back in their side after an absence through work commitments. There were debuts for youngsters Coinneach MacDonald and William Zblewski. Newtonmore were along usual lines. This was the second meeting in successive Saturdays between the sides with ‘More winning 6-1 at the Eilan in the league last weekend. This meeting was much closer over the 90 minutes. Iain Robinson gave ‘More an 18 minute lead but Martin Davidson grabbed the equaliser when he bulleted the ball into the top corner of the net from the Beauly right to make it 1-1. With no further scoring, referee Evan MacRae took the tie into an extra-time period. Iain Robinson got his second 4 minutes into extra-time and the Eilan side went on to dominate the remainder of the tie. Craig MacLeod made it 3-1just 3 minutes later. Iain Robinson completed his hat-trick on 107 minutes and Calum Stewart added two more goals on 113 and 119 minutes to make it 6-1.

Strathdearn Cup – Semi Finals
Fort William 0 Newtonmore 1
The Newtonmore reserves are through to the 2015 Strathdearn Cup Final after they beat the Fort William reserves 1-0 in their noon throw up at An Aird. There was little to separate the sides and the winning goal came in stoppage time. Calum Stewart scored all five goals as Newtonmore beat Lochside Rovers 5-0 last weekend to lift the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup. And he was again the man who made the difference. With just 20 seconds remaining, the ball was played to Stewart’s feet and with his back to goal; he flicked the ball beyond his marker and smashed it past the keeper into the middle of the goal to make it 1-0. There was barely time for referee Andy MacLean to restart the match.
