Portree Cheetahs and Kyleakin go forward to the P7 (& under) tournament which takes place at the Nevis Centre, Fort William. The action all gets underway at midday and everyone is welcome to attend. Camanachd Association’s Regional Development Manager, Ronald Ross said, “The RBS National First Shinty Festival is a key date in the youth shinty calendar and it provides a big day out for hundreds of young players, plus an important early step in their sporting career. Year after year, we see the best young talent that shinty has to offer. The backing provided by RBS and Gilmour Sports enhances the day for all those who attend and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.” This is the third year RBS has supported shinty and the Festival forms a key part of their wider involvement that also includes the RBS MacTavish Cup competition, both senior and juvenile, and the RBS ShintyForce community Club funding initiative. |
