Skye Camanachd Youths Make Cup Progress – Caberfeidh U17 0 Skye Camanachd U17 4 | |
14 May 2013 Skye Camanachd U17 beat Caberfeidh U17 4-0 at Castle Leod in the MacTavish Juvenile Cup quarter final clash on Monday 13 May 2013. Skye received a first round bye and they faced a Caberfeidh side who turned in a great performance to beat Glenurquhart in their opening round match. Skye took the lead after 15 minutes in this 7pm throw up and it was Will Cowie who converted after the Islanders had been awarded a penalty. Conor Ross made it 2-0 on the half hour mark and Skye took this advantage into the break. Conor Ross got his second and Skye’s third goal of the evening when he scored on 55 minutes. John Gillies got his first goal at U17 level when he netted 5 minutes from time to round off a good 4-0 win for Skye. This was a much better performance from Skye and following defeats to Lochaber in Kinlochshiel in the opening London Shield matches, they have recorded a MacTavish Juvenile Cup win which gives them a semi final tie with Kinlochshiel or Newtonmore.
