03 October 2013 Skye Camanachd Youth Coach John MacLeod hailed the fantastic attitude shown by his team as the Skye Camanachd U14s beat Kingussie U14 3-2 in the Marine Harvest North Division 1 meeting at the Dell on Friday 27 September 2013. After the game, MacLeod said, "It was a fantastic result and I was really pleased with attitude of the team. We started well and took the game to Kingussie which was excellent .We rode our luck towards the end and Jack Henderson again continued his fine form with a superb penalty save at the end." "Best for Skye were defenders Ryan Morrison, Ryan O'Halloran and Ross Nicolson who stood up to the challenge of the Kingussie forward line .Marcus Ross produced a man of the match performance at buckshee back against the ever dangerous Ruaraidh Anderson whilst Conor Gilpin was superb at wing centre James Pringle worked away well and up front and Anna MacDonald got stuck in with Ruaraidh MacLeod providing the finishing.” A win would have given Kingussie the title but they have a second chance to get their hands on the trophy when they play Beauly U14 at Braeview Park on Monday 30 September 2013. |
