05 June 2019 Skye Camanachd U17 lost 4-2 after extra-time in their MacTavish Juvenile Cup semi-final against Newtonmore U17 at Castle Leod on Tuesday 4 June 2019. Taylor Matheson gave Skye a 13 minute lead in this 6.45pm throw up. There was a flash-point following which referee Archie Ritchie sent off ‘More forward Somhairle Thomson and Skye keeper Murphy Henderson. Calum Nicolson took over in the Skye goal. Aaron MacBean drew ‘More level with a strike on 57 minutes and, just a couple of minutes later, Declan Brannan put Newtonmore 2-1 in front. However Taylor Matheson’s goal right at the end of the 80 minutes meant an additional half hour’s play. The extra-time period was just a couple of minutes old when Struan Ross put Newtonmore back in front. Xander Ross scored a clinching fourth goal on 86 minutes. In the other semi-final, Kingussie beat Fort William on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Newtonmore now meet their Kingussie counter-parts in the MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final at the Bught Park on Saturday 15 June 2019. Throw up is at 1pm.
