05 June 2015 Skye Camanachd U17 are through to the MacTavish Juvenile Cup after they beat Kinlochshiel U17 on penalties in their semi-final tie at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Wednesday 3 June 2015. The venue for this 6.30pm throw up was decided by a “toss of the coin” at the Camanachd Association Offices, Inverness on Friday 29 May 2015. The tie was originally scheduled for Tuesday 2 June 2015 but it was postponed because of an unplayable field. The tie was to be played to a finish with extra-time and penalties if necessary. Ross Nicolson was out for Skye with a broken collar bone. Caitlin MacLean, Sam MacPhee and Stewart Taylor were also missing so Youth Coach Davie Pringle called James Morrison, Emma Gordon and Martin Pringle into the squad in their place. The match finished 2-2 after extra-time with Ruairidh MacLeod getting both Skye goals and Corran Campbell and Lewis MacVicar on target for the visitors. Referee Donnie Martin took the tie to a penalty shoot-out. Ryan Morrison missed Skye’s first penalty but he redeemed himself with some great saves as Ruairidh MacLeod, James Pringle and Connor Gilpin all scored and Skye won the shoot-out 3-0.
