02 September 2013 Skye Camanachd went down 3-2 in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 meeting with Kingussie U14 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 30 August 2013. Skye Youth Coach John MacLeod added Stuart Jackson and Sam MacPhee to the Skye squad which beat Kingussie 4-2 in their MacMaster Cup semi final a week earlier. The match doubled up as a contest for the Ian Nicolson Memorial Cup. Ruairidh Anderson got Kingussie off to the best possible start with a goal after just 5 minutes and this proved to be the only goal of the first half. However there was to be four goals in the closing 12 minutes and Ruairidh MacLeod levelled for Skye on 58 minutes. Roddy Young put Kingussie back in front on 62 minutes but Ryan Morrison made it 2-2 from the penalty spot just 4 minutes later. Kingussie’s Ben Mitchell scored what proved to be the winner a couple of minutes from time. This was a really good, keenly fought match and a close contest between two really well matched sides.
