20 September 2015 Skye Camanachd U14 lost 3-2 to Fort William U14 in their MacMaster Cup Final at Mossfield on Saturday 19 September 2015. Skye Camanachd U14 youth coach John MacLeod had a full squad to choose from against a Fort William side who beat the Islanders 2-1 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree in their recent league encounter. The Fort William side were coached by Victor Smith and Ally Clark. The Skye squad travelled South on the Friday evening for this 11.15am throw up and the changing facilities were provided at the near-by Rugby Club. Fort William went ahead when a free-hit from Victor Smith was from the right was scooped to the back post and Ally MacRae crashed the ball high into the net on his back-hand. Skye levelled before the interval when the Fort William defence were unable to clear a Ruaraidh MacLeod free-fit and when the ball broke to Mark MacQueen on the Skye right; he drove a shot over the keeper’s right shoulder into the net to make it 1-1 at the break. Fort William went back in front through wing forward Greg Kelly who scored when the ball broke to him at the edge of the D and the Skye defence were punished for not clearing their lines. Skye fought back again and Ruaraidh MacLeod took down a long ball forward from midfield and he turned and shot low into the net to make it 2-2. Skye suffered injuries to prominent players Connor Gilpin, Ross Gordon and Calum Robertson at what was a crucial stage in the game. Fort William went in front for a third time when Victor Smith collected a ball down the right and he turning his marker before cutting in towards the edge of the D and he sent the ball into the corner of the net on his backhand with just 8 minutes remaining. This time there was to be no Skye comeback and Fort William captain Ryan Boyle was presented with the MacMaster Cup by Drew MacMaster.
