Skye Camanachd Social Club Report On Another Successful Year | |
21 May 2014 The Skye Camanachd Social Club reported on another successful year at their AGM at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Thursday 15 May 2014. Skye Camanachd Social Club Chairman Donnie Martin thanked his committee for their hard work throughout the year and he said that their continued commitment brought great stability to the club which he hoped would continue into the year ahead. Skye Camanachd Social Club Secretary / Treasurer Phil McCaherty commented on a successful year’s trading which saw the club replace some aging equipment and make a significant donation to Skye Camanachd funds. The Skye Camanachd Social Club office bearers were unanimously re-elected as follows: Chair – Donnie Martin Vice Chair – Lorraine Bruce Secretary / Treasurer – Phil McCaherty Ross Cowie, Norma MacRae and Marion Gillies were re-elected to the committee and they will be joined by new member Moreen Pringle. Jacqui Murchison has kindly agreed to continue producing the annual accounts. There was definite interest from volunteers to under-take bar training which will increase the number of people able to work behind the bar. Annual membership fees remain at £10 for adults and £5 for OAPs and students and there will be a drive to increase membership. Ross Cowie, who is also Skye Camanachd Vice Chairman, thanked the Skye Camanachd Social Club for their tremendous support to the club’s various shinty teams throughout the year. |
