18 September 2021 This week’s Skye Camanachd results are in! The Skye Camanachd first team did not have a game on Saturday 18 September 2021. The Skye Camanachd second team did not have a match on Saturday 18 September 2021. There were no weekend Women’s Camanachd Association fixtures for Skye Camanachd A, Skye Camanachd B and the Skye Camanachd Development squad. Skye Camanachd U17 lost 3-2 in an exciting MacTavish Juvenile Cup semi-final against Kingussie U17 at Blairbeg on Tuesday 14 September 2021. Skye led twice through Taylor Matheson each time but Iain Fraser’s penalty, Calum Moneagle and Calum MacKintosh sent Kingussie through to the final. Skye Camanachd U14 won the MacMaster Cup; beating Fort William U14 2-1 in their 11am throw-up at Mossfield on Saturday 18 September 2021. It was a busy week for the Skye youngsters who were 2-1 MacMaster Cup semi-final winners against Kilmallie U14 at Craigard, Invergarry on Wednesday 15 September 2021. Seonaidh-Alex MacLeod and Ali Stewart had Skye 2-0 ahead before Archie MacNiven countered for Kilmallie. Jack Stephen gave the Fort a 33 minute lead in the final but Seonaidh-Alex MacLeod equalised almost immediately. It was the same two Skye scorers as in the semi-final who made the difference as Ali Stewart got what proved to be the winner on 55 minutes. Skye skipper Seonaidh-Alex MacLeod was presented with the trophy by David MacMaster on behalf of the MacMaster family. This was a fantastic effort from the players, coaches and parents with some of the squad representing the primaries, U14s and U17s throughout the week. The Skye Camanachd Primaries lost 9-0 to Newtonmore Primary School in the Camanachd Association Cup Final at Blairbeg on Tuesday 14 September 2021. Skye were inaugural winners of this trophy in 2019 but Newtonmore came out on top this time to complete a clean sweep having already lifted the MacKay Cup and the Tulloch Homes Cup. |
