The Skye Camanachd first team lost 3-1 to Glasgow Mid Argyll in the Mowi Premiership at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 5 October 2019. Ross MacKinnon put Skye ahead but Calum McLay, Craig Anderson (penalty) and Mark Bain gave GMA the win that secures their promotion. GMA skipper Jamie McFadyen was presented with the George Michie Memorial Cup afterwards. A depleted Skye Camanachd second team drew 1-1 with the Kingussie second team in a Mowi North Division 1 encounter at the Dell on Saturday 5 October 2019. Chris MacLennan put Skye ahead but Cluanie Fraser earned Kingussie a point. Skye Camanachd Ladies players Lorna MacRae, Caitlin MacLean, Rhianna Kirk and Sarah Corrigall were part of the Scotland squad which lost 14-10 to Munster at the WIT Arena, Waterford in this year’s Shinty / Camogie international on Saturday 5 October 2019. Sarah Corrigall chipped in with a goal and a point. The Skye Camanachd Ladies second team lost 3-1 in their Mowi North Division 2 meeting with Strathglass Ladies at Cannich on Sunday 6 October 2019. Lilidh Campbell scored the Skye goal but Eleanor Mann’s brace and Laura Fraser gave Strathglass the win. Skye Camanachd U17 did not have a game. Four Skye Camanachd youth players were selected to represent the North in the annual representative matches against the South at An Aird on Sunday 6 October 2019. William Sutherland was included in the North U14 side which beat the South U14 5-1 to lift the Fraser MacPhee Memorial Trophy. Keeper Murphy Henderson along with Ross Gordon and Ross MacKinnon played in the North U17 squad’s 5-0 victory over South U17. Ross MacKinnon scored twice with Ross Gordon also netting. The Skye Camanachd U14 squad continued their Mowi North Division 2 programme with a 7-2 win against Newtonmore U14 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 4 October 2019.
