15 July 2017 A cup semi-final and international representation were to the fore for Skye Camanachd this weekend. The Skye Camanachd first team did not have a fixture. The Skye Camanachd second team lost 4-2 to their Kingussie counter-parts in the Strathdearn Cup semi-finals at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 15 July 2017. Kingussie won the tie in the first half as James Falconer and a Dylan Borthwick double gave them a 3-0 interval lead. Shockie MacLennan pulled a goal back only for Dylan Borthwick to complete his hat-trick shortly after. A Connor Gilpin penalty made it 4-2 but Kingussie stayed in front for a deserved victory. Skye Camanachd Ladies players Lorna MacRae, Caitlin MacLean and Rhianna Kirk played their part as Scotland Ladies beat Dublin County Ladies 19-10 in their Shinty / Camogie international at Na Fianna, Dublin on Saturday 15 July 2017.
