10 June 2017 All the focus was on the Skye Camanachd U17 squad this week and they didn’t disappoint. The Skye Camanachd first team did not have a fixture as it was their free-Saturday with the players attend team-mate Kenny Campbell’s wedding. The Skye Camanachd second team do not have a fixture as the Skye Camanachd U17 squad were in MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final action against Kingussie U17. The Skye Camanachd Ladies did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd U17 had two fixtures this week. First up was a London Shield meeting with Glenurquhart U17 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Tuesday 6 June 2017. Skye won 2-0 with Daniel MacDonald and Mark MacQueen getting the goals. Skye Camanachd U17 then retained the MacTavish Juvenile Cup with a 3-1 win over Kingussie U17 at The Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 10 June 2017. Dylan Borthwick put Kingussie ahead on 31 minutes and it stayed that way until the break. Ross Gordon drew Skye level on 51 minutes and goals from Mark MacQueen on 55 minutes and Ruaraidh MacLeod on 75 minutes sealed the win. Skye captain Stewart Taylor lifted the trophy whilst Skye’s James Morrison was named man of the match. Skye Camanachd U14 did not have a fixture. |
