09 May 2015 It was another busy weekend for Skye Camanachd with the senior side making it through to the SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup last sixteen. The Skye Camanachd first team beat Oban Celtic 4-0 in their SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup first round tie at Mossfield on Saturday 9 May 2015. After a goalless first half, Jordan Murchison put Skye ahead on 56 minutes. The Islanders benefited from an own goal 6 minutes later before Jordan Murchison added two more goals on 80 and 82 minutes to complete his hat-trick and a 4-0 win. Skye now go into Monday morning’s second round draw. The Skye Camanachd second team beat Lewis Camanachd 6-1 in their Marine Harvest North Division 2 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 9 May 2015. James Pringle capped a fine first half performance with a hat-trick from goals on 15, 19 and 30 minutes. An Iain MacLellan strike on 32 minutes made it 4-0 at the break, Donald Lamont pulled a goal back for Lewis on 57 minutes before Angie MacDonald on 59 minutes and Iain MacLellan’s second on 84 minutes rounded off a 6-1 Skye win.
