04 April 2015 Skye Camanachd recorded home and away wins over Inverness on Saturday 4 April 2015. The Skye Camanachd first team beat the Inverness seniors 3-0 in their Marine Harvest National Division match at the Bught Park outside pitch. Neil MacVicar and Shockie MacLennan were missing for Skye so Kenny MacLeod got a start and pushed the ball home to give Skye a 16 minute lead following a goalmouth scramble. Kenny MacLeod made it 2-0 on 35 minutes when he picked the ball up around 18 yards out and he fired a crisp, low shot past Adam MacMaster. Skye clinched the win on 65 minutes thanks to a neat finish from Jordan Murchison. The only black spot for Skye was a late red card for defender Steven Morrison for two bookings. The Skye Camanachd second team beat their Inverness counter-parts 6-0 in Marine Harvest North Division 2 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree. Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod showed good close control before giving the home side a 21 minute lead. James Pringle made it 2-0 on 35 minutes when he shot low into the net following a corner on the left. Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod got his second in first half stoppage time following a free-hit to make it 3-0. Skye boss Davie Pringle pushed defender Alan Palmer into attack at the break and he chipped in with a couple of goals. The first was a shot from the right on 59 minutes which deceived visiting goalie Allan MacLeod. Palmer got his second when he burst into the D on 72 minutes and although his first effort was blocked, he slotted the rebound low into the net to make it 5-0. Iain MacLellan rounded off the scoring when he made it 6-0 in stoppage time. Ross Nicolson played in a shy from the right which Alan Palmer played into MacLellan’s path and he shot home to keep Skye at the top of the table. |
