Skye Camanachd Ladies To The Fore In Representative Matches | |
30 September 2019 Eleven Skye Camanachd Ladies players took part in the Women’s Camanachd Association annual area representative matches at Mossfield, Oban on Sunday 29 September 2019. The dividing split between the North and South squad selection was again the Commando Monument at Spean Bridge and there were three games at different age groups between the North (Blues) and the South (Reds) throughout the afternoon. First up were the North U14 (Blue) squad who beat the South U14s (Red) squad 11-1 with Skye players Molly MacKinnon, Megan Campbell, Leah MacLeod and Ruby MacLeod all selected. Megan Campbell grabbed a hat-trick in the win with Leah MacLeod also scoring. Then the North seniors (Blue) were 13-0 victors against the South (Red) seniors. Sarah Corrigall, Rhianna Kirk, Caitlin MacLean and Lorna MacRae all represented the North and Lorna MacRae scored five times whilst Sarah Corrigall grabbed a hat-trick. Skye’s Caitlin MacLean was named player of the match. Finally, following the high-scoring games that went before them, North U18 (Blue) and South U18 (Red) drew 0-0. Skye were represented by Christina MacDonald, Katherine Dibble and Holly MacPhee.
