Skye Camanachd Ladies Take Part In Alistair Gow Sixes | |
16 September 2019 Skye Camanachd Ladies took part in the 2019 Alistair Gow Sixes at the Eilan on Sunday 15 September 2019. The action got underway at noon with seven teams - Badenoch, Glengarry, GlenGlass, Inverness, Lovat, Skye Camanachd and Strathspey - taking part. With the top four teams qualifying for semi-finals, Glengarry finished top of the pile with Inverness and Strathspey in joint second and Badenoch qualifying in fourth position. It took a sudden death penalty shoot-out to separate Inverness and Glengarry in the first semi-final with Inverness eventually going through. Badenoch defeated Strathspey 1-0 in the second semi-final. After two close semi-finals, Inverness overcame Badenoch 3-0 in the final to lift the 2019 Alistair Gow Shield. To round off a good day for Inverness, Amber McKay was named player of the tournament.
