Skye Camanachd Await 2016 Artemis Macaulay Cup Draw | |
11 December 2015 Skye Camanachd are eagerly awaiting the 2016 Artemis Macaulay Cup draw which takes place LIVE on Oban FM on Saturday 12 December 2015. This will be Skye’s first participation in the tournament since 2010 when they lost 1-0 to Lovat at Balgate in the opening round with Fraser Gallacher getting the goal. The top eight teams from the North and the top eight sides from the South area take part in a regional draw with the North and South winners contesting the final. Newtonmore are the current holders. There is just one change in the competing North teams from last year with Skye Camanachd replacing Kilmallie. The 2016 North contestants are: Newtonmore, Glenurquhart, Lochaber, Lovat, Kinlochshiel, Fort William, Kingussie, and Skye Camanachd. There is also just one change in the South with Aberdour replacing Glenorchy. The 2016 South contestants are: Kyles Athletic, Oban Camanachd, Inveraray, Glasgow Mid Argyll, Ballachulish, Bute, Oban Celtic and Aberdour. The draw takes place at 6pm and you can click on the following link to listen live www.obanfm.net. The Artemis Macaulay Cup Final usually takes place at Mossfield, Oban in August each year. |
