Conor Ross added number four when he plucked the ball out of the air from an Angus MacDonald corner before slotting the ball past Dunbar in Lovat goal. Lee Dunbar saved well from Conor Ross on the half hour as Lovat found it difficult to contain the Skye forward. Conor Ross scored his and Skye’s fifth with a great individual effort as he beat three defenders on his way to goal before pushing the ball in the net. James Pringle scored the opening goal of the second half on 37 minutes with a low strike from 20 yards out to make it 6-0. Lovat battled away but they were over-powered by a Skye centre line which was boosted by the return of John MacInnes at wing centre. Lee Dunbar saved well from Ruaraidh MacLeod on both 39 minutes and on 48 minutes. Skye’s Sam MacPhee added number seven on 62 minutes when his low shot found the back of the net. Lee Dunbar made a great save from a Ryan Morrison rocket-shot after Morrison had been moved from defence to the forward line. Jack Henderson rounded off the scoring when he beat Dunbar from 12 yards after being moved from goals to join the attack. This was a good all-round team performance from Skye with the defence looking more solid since John Gillies has slotted in at buckshee back after switching from the centre line. Conor Ross continued his excellent scoring run with an impressive haul of five goals. The younger Lovat side continued to battle throughout the game and their keeper Lee Dunbar made several fine saves. Skye will now face Kingussie in the 2013 MacMaster Cup semi finals after the Kings beat Newtonmore in their quarter final tie.
