29 July 2019 Skye Camanachd beat Aberdeen University 3-0 in their Mowi North Division 1 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 27 July 2019. With no first team game, Skye were able to give James Pringle, who had spent most of the summer abroad, some valuable game time in this 2.30pm throw up. Aberdeen included Skye Camanachd Ladies player Jenna Beaton and Badenoch Ladies player Rona Stewart in their side. Skye Camanachd Ladies Head Coach John MacLeod and his cousin, former Skye player Jamie Beaton also featured. Skye took the lead midway through the first half when James Pringle played the ball wide to Ross Gordon. Pringle ran forward, losing his marker, and Gordon found him with a return pass and he dribbled in to score. There was a delay at the start of the second half when referee Steven MacLachlan was caught in the face by a swinging caman from the throw up. Skye medic Dr Wilson Banks was on hand to provide treatment and it was to MacLachlan’s credit that he saw out the remainder of the match as he had suffered a broken nose and later required nine stitches. James Pringle got his and Skye’s second soon after the restart with Keith MacKenzie setting up Caitlin MacLean to make it 3-0 from close range with just 10 minutes remaining.
