Scotland U17 Squad Set For Ireland 2016 Trip | |

The Scotland U17 squad players will represent their club sides on Saturday 23 July 2016 ahead of making their final preparations for of the 2016 Ireland Tour. The squad travels to Dublin University on Sunday 24 July 2016. There is a treat for the players on Monday 25 July 2016 when they play Kilkenny U17 at Nowlan Park; the principal GAA ground in Kilkenny which has a capacity of 24,000. The following day, The Scots take on Dublin U17 at Parnell Park. The squad returns to Scotland on Wednesday 27 July 2016.

Newtonmore forward Iain Robinson and Kingussie pair Calum Grant and James Falconer were in the Scotland squad last year. All the others players are new caps. This annual tour has been taking place for over 20 years and it gives the elite shinty players, many of whom attended the previous year’s National Development Camp, the first chance to represent their country in the Shinty / Hurling fixture.
