Scotland U17 Squad Announced For 2014 Ireland Tour | |
21 July 2014 Scotland National Development Officer Ronald Ross has announced the 2014 Scottish Hydro Scotland U17 Squad which will travel to Ireland this weekend. The Scots and take part in two matches against their hurling counterparts. They play the Wexford U17 County Team on Monday 28 July followed by a meeting with the Dublin U17 Development Squad the night after. The annual tour, which has taken place for over twenty years, sees elite young shinty players from across Scotland make up the squad, some of whom honed their skills at the previous year’s Scottish Hydro National Player Development Camp. This year’s squad is made up of some highly skilful players, many of whom already hold spots in their own club’s first team. I am in no doubt that we will see some excellent displays of shinty / hurling skill.” The squad travel across to Ireland on Sunday 27 July 2014 and return home on Wednesday 30 July 2014. |
