Scotland Ladies Head Coach Stuart Reid Says Inclusion Of Skye Quintet Shows How The Island Club Have Continued to Improve | |
20 October 2015 Scotland Ladies Head Coach Stuart Reid says that the inclusion of five Skye Camanachd Ladies players in his squad for this weekend’s meeting with Kildare Ladies shows how much the Island club has continued to improve. “The Skye Ladies have done really over the last couple of years, said Reid. We had Lorna MacRae and Caitlin MacLean in the squad last year so we knew what they could do. Having Sarah Corrigall involved this year is a huge boost for us all. She has done so well to come back from injury and we will use her as an outfield player. Her inclusion is like having a player and a coach rolled into one. Emma Gordon has also done brilliantly for one so young. When we see her on the pitch we forget that she is just 15 years old. She was player of the match in the recent North v South encounter which says it all. Catriona Gibb has almost come along under the radar but she has got steadily better as the process has gone on. She has mainly been deployed as a defender by Skye but we moved her to half forward where she really came alive.”
