Portree Primary School Set For 2013 Gilmour Sports Shinty World Cup | |
21 June 2013 Portree Primary School are set to take part in the 2013 Gilmour Sports Shinty World Cup which take place at the Bught Park, Inverness on Monday 24 June 2013. The Gilmour Sports Shinty World Cup is a sixes competition for North area primary school teams and the action starts at 12.30pm. A total of 256 primary school age shinty players from 32 teams across the North area will converge on the Bught to compete in the three competitions; Portree Primary School will take part in the Shinty World Cup Premier Competition for established schools and they will be joined by schools from Beauly, Lochaber, Inverlochy, Banavie, Kingussie, Newtonmore, Dingwall, Lochcarron and Glenurquhart. Kinlochbervie, Raigmore, Grantown, Alvie, Cannich Bridge, Kinlochleven, Balnain, Dunvegan, Strathdearn and Dalneigh will contest the Shinty World Cup Championship Competition for emerging schools. There will also be a junior even where teams aged primary 5 and under from Beauly, Lochaber, Kirkhill, Kingussie, Raigmore, Gergask, Alvie, Newtonmore, Inverlochy, Lochcarron, Glenurquhart and Dingwall will battle it out in The Shinty World Cup Super-Sixes Competition. |
