Tulloch Cup (North) Final
The final was an extremely close affair. Newtonmore went 1-0 up in the first half with an excellent strike which beat the Portree keeper. Portree managed to equalise following some skilful play to make it 1-1. Both teams had chances to win late in the game but some fabulous goalkeeping from both ends meant the game finished 1-1. The final went to a 5 minute extra-time period with the golden goal rule in place. In a very close and competitive extra-time period, neither team was able to break the deadlock. A penalty shoot-out ensued but after the regulation three penalties each, the sides were still level. It took no fewer than three rounds of sudden death spot-hits before Portree finally came out on top.
Portree will now take on Bute Primaries, the winners of the South competition, in the Tulloch Cup Final on Saturday 18 June 2016 at Ballachulish.
