Portree High School Girls Make Good Start To 2014 High School Shinty Tournament | |
05 December 2014 Portree High School A made a good start to the 2014 High School Giirls Shinty Tournament with the first round played at the Bught Park on Friday 5 December 2014. A total ten teams took part in this tournament which was run by the Womens Camanachd Association. They were split into two leagues where they would play round-robin matches. League A comprised of Ardnamurchan, Kingussie, Kinlochleven, Lochaber A and Lochaber B. Lochaber A finished on top, a point ahed of second place Kingussie with Ardnamurchan in third spot. Portree’s foucus was on League B which was made up of Portree A, Portree B, Dingwall, Charleston and Glenurquhart. Portree A won all their matches with Emma Gordon netting ten of her side’s goals. Portree B suffered just one defeat - against Portree A - and they finished third; behind second place Glenurquhart on goal difference. The Portree A and Portree B match resuts were as follows; Portree A 4-0 Charleston
