Portree Are P1-3 Victors | |
10 February 2020 The P1-3 First Shinty Festival took place at the Portree High School Fingal Centre on Saturday 8 February 2020. Six teams – Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh A, Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh B, North West, Portree, South Skye Reds and South Skye Green – all took part. The teams played in a round-robin format with Portree topping the pile. South Skye Reds and Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh A were tied for second place so a play-off took place with the South Skye Reds, winning 1-0. Portree ran out 2-0 victors in the final against South Skye Reds, maintaining their 100% record. South Skye’s Johnny MacKenzie was named player of the tournament. The tournament was organised by Skye active schools co-ordinator Sarah Ross. |
