One In – One Out At Oban Celtic | |
24 January 2017 Having already confirmed the additions of Andrew Hunt and Fulton Ronald to his squad, Oban Celtic manager Kenny Wotherspoon has made further changes. Wotherspoon has pulled of a signing coup with Ross MacMillan joining the club from Oban Camanachd. Ross MacMillan had been in the process of breaking into the Oban Camanachd first team last year but he has opted to join his brother Daniel MacMillan, who made the same switch ahead of the 2016 shinty season. As well as representing Scotland at U17 level, 18 year old Ross MacMillan captained Oban Camanachd U17 to London Shield success last season when they beat Skye Camanachd U17 in the final. MacMillan had his first training session with Oban Celtic on Tuesday 24 January 2017 however he was unavailable for the friendly win over Taynuilt. As one defender arrives, another departs with news that Ewan MacCorquodale will play his shinty at Oban Lorn this season. MacCorquodale was hampered by a back injury last season but his experience will make him a valuable addition to the Oban Lorn squad. |
