Fraser Reid and Aaron MacBeth shared the CalMac Quaich for U14 player of the year with Seumas Martin the most improved players at this age group. The club also announced that eight first team players will take part in Strathpuffer 24, a 24 hour mountain bike endurance event held in winter conditions. The aim is to complete as many laps of the 12.5km course as possible over a 24 hour period. The players - Ali Nixon, Conor Cormack, David Falconer, Duncan “DA” MacRae, Finlay MacRae, John MacRae, Mark MacDonald and Paul MacRae – will soon start training before the event which takes place in January 2019. They hope to raise much needed funds for the club as they look forward to playing on their new pitch at Reraig for the 2019 shinty season. The next stage of this development is the construction of a clubhouse and facilities at the pitch and all funds raised from this event will go towards these substantial costs. Kinlochshiel have set up a justgiving page which can be accessed through the club’s Facebook page. |
