21 July 2013 Kilmallie won the 2013 Joe Toal Sixes at a very hot Spean Bridge on Sunday 21 July 2013. Joe Toal died suddenly when playing for Lochaber Camanachd against Fort William in 1982. He was aged 22. Lochaber have held an annual sixes tournament in honour of his memory and dedication to the club and this year is a special occasion as it will be the 30th anniversary of the competition. Group B Newtonmore Kingussie Kilmallie Lochaber B Inverness
The excellently organised tournament started at 12 noon and there were games on both pitches simultaneously throughout the afternoon. Kilmallie won all but one of their Group B games and they qualified for the semi finals along with Newtonmore who had first team manager Paul John MacKintosh in goal. Lochaber A and Lovat qualified from Group A. Kilmallie beat Lovat 3-0 in their semi final whilst Newtonmore beat host club Lochaber A in their last four tie. Kilmallie were 2-0 victors over Newtonmore in the final with Liam MacDonald and Mark Graham getting the goals. The Canal Parks side, coached by Donald Lamont and which included Michael Rodger, Liam MacDonald, Martin Stewart, Martin Graham and Bryan MacKay, won the day.
