Kenny MacKay is the new Skye Camanachd Chieftain.
He was unanimously elected following the recent Skye Camanachd Annual General Meeting and assumes the post for a three year period.
Kenny MacKay’s association with Skye Camanachd dates back to the 1970s. He is a former player – a tough-tackling defender – and he was Skye Camanachd Treasurer until 1985. He later became Skye Camanachd Chairman and was at the helm in 1990 when the club beat Newtonmore to win the Camanachd Cup. He was also Chairman during the club's Centenary Year in 1992.
Kenny MacKay takes over the Chieftain’s role from Billy MacKinnon whose three year tenure has just ended.
