Ireland will take a 3-1 lead into the Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling International second test following their 24-18 win over Scotland at Croke Park on Saturday 26 October 2013.
Scotland manager Drew McNeil started with Lovat’s Stuart MacDonald in goal whilst there were senior debuts in attack for Newtonmore duo Fraser MacKintosh and Glen MacKintosh.
There were eight new caps in John Meyer’s Irish squad which was captained by Antrim’s Neil McManus. The quality in the squad came from Cork’s Shane O’Neill, Richie Hogan from Kilkenny and Tipperary’s Brendan Maher and all three had previously played in this fixture.
