Glenurquhart v Skye Camanachd – Team News | |
15 April 2016 Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie Pringle has named his squad for the Marine Harvest North Division 1 meeting with the Glenurquhart second team at Blairbeg on Saturday 16 April 2016. Skye were originally scheduled to play Kinlochshiel at Kirkton. However ‘Shiel had been due to travel to Balgownie last weekend to play Aberdeen University in the first round of the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup but that tie was postponed and carried forward to this weekend. Therefore the meeting with Glenurquhart has been brought forward from later in the season. Skye boss Davie Pringle is forced to make eight changes to the squad which beat Glasgow Mid Argyll 3-0 in their Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup first round tie at Yoker last weekend. He will be without Chris MacLennan who returns to the first team and David MacInnes, DJ Gilpin and James Pringle who have also been called up by the seniors. Ruaraidh MacLeod is injured and Iain MacLellan, Ross Gordon and Sam MacPhee are missing too. Chris Rose is included for the first time this season whilst there is a place for Iain Nicolson whose work commitments meant he is unable to travel to Portree to play for the first team. There are also places for Ross Nicolson, Stewart Taylor, Connor Gilpin, Jamie Gillies, Martin Pringle and Jack Henderson. With Davie Pringle stepping in to take the Skye Camanachd first team for their RBS MacTavish Cup quarter-final against Newtonmore in John MacLeod’s absence, second team captain David Grant and injured wing centre Thomas Wilson will look after the side. Several of the Glenurquhart squad were in New York the previous weekend where they played an exhibition match as part of the Tartan Day celebrations. Throw up is at 2.30pm. Skye Camanachd from: Iain MacLeod, Ryan Morrison, David Grant (captain), John Angus MacInnes, Andrew Banks, Iain MacLellan, Calum Gibb, Neil John Campbell, Chris Rose, Iain Nicolson, Stewart Taylor, Connor Gilpin, Jamie Gillies, Martin Pringle, Jack Henderson Match Referee – John Matheson |
