02 April 2018 The Skye Camanachd reserves and the Fort William reserves shared the points following a goalless draw in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 match at An Aird on Saturday 31 March 2018. Skye Camanachd second team manager Kenny MacLeod had keeper and captain Ryan Morrison back in his squad so he replaced Murphy Henderson who played in the previous week’s win over Aberdeen University. Veteran Allan MacLeod and youngsters Ruaraidh MacLeod and Connor Gilpin were also added to the squad Veterans Angie MacDonald and David Grant were left out. Calum Robertson was a late call-off. Fort William manager Neil Robertson had defender David Wright free of suspension for this 2.30pm throw up. Both defences were on top during the match. Skye started against the wind but they enjoyed most of the pressure during the opening 15 minutes with Martin Pringle seeing his effort well-saved. Skye replaced Connor Gilpin with Chris Rose but the Fort William defence was resilient and Skye seemed to run out of ideas and they didn’t manage a shot on target during the whole of the second half. Skye lost forward Ross Gordon 10 minutes from time with a wrist injury. Skye may have been frustrated not to make their pressure count but it could have been worse as had it not been for two terrific saves from keeper Ryan Morrison during the final couple of minutes, the Fort could have taken both points.
